Power lines across tough terrain.

MRCC connects Pakistan’s power network. Our core work is building 132, 220 and 500 kV transmission lines from the ground up: tower foundations, including pile foundations, tower erection and conductor stringing, along with the grid stations and civil works at either end. We work for the national grid, power distribution companies and EPC contractors, from the Indus plains to the hills of Balochistan and AJK.

Core business

Foundations, erection, stringing

Our core work is building the transmission line itself, from the ground up. Our own crews and equipment handle all three stages on 132, 220 and 500 kV lines, for the national grid, distribution companies and EPC contractors.

About MRCC

Built on work done well

MRCC is a transmission line, grid station and civil works contractor focused on power infrastructure. Our teams execute transmission line and grid station works within the stipulated time while meeting every quality parameter, from new lines and river crossings to emergency breakdown and rehabilitation work on lines in service.

Our mission

To develop lasting, growing relationships with our clients by delivering any transmission line or grid station work in the stipulated time, observing all quality parameters. Excellent quality through honest hard work is how we earn our clients’ trust.

Our values

Openness and honesty in how we do business, with clear reporting of both our successes and where we can improve.

“To us success is not a destination, it is a journey and we are focused on it.”
Nasir Ahmed Panhwar, Chief Executive Officer of MRCC

Message from the CEO

A transmission line is a connection: power station to grid, grid station to grid station, and in the end, power to the homes and industries that depend on it. For more than three decades, MRCC has been making those connections, and we treat every one as a promise to our client.

I founded MRCC in 1991 on a simple belief: honest work, careful planning and respect for the people in the field are what earn a client’s trust. That belief still guides every site we run, whether we are stringing a new 500 kV line or restoring a damaged tower on a line that must stay in service.

The connections we build rarely run through easy places. They cross rivers, deserts and mountain terrain. That is where our people have proved themselves, from pile foundations at river crossings to emergency restoration on the national grid, delivered on time, to specification and safely.

Everything we have achieved has come through the grace of Almighty Allah, the prayers of our parents and the dedication of the MRCC team. To our clients, thank you for your continued trust. To those planning their next project, we would be glad to show you what our team can do.

Nasir Ahmed Panhwar — Chief Executive Officer

132 kV New Rohri–Sukkur Site

An exclusive MRCC project and rare work in the field: pile foundations built inside the Indus floodplain. Locations 42 to 57 of the 132 kV single-circuit double-tower line between New Rohri and Sukkur Site cross the Indus floodplain. MRCC built a causeway to reach each location, drilled bored piles, cast the pile caps and tower foundations between the river channels, then erected the towers and strung ACSR Rail conductor over about 2.9 km.

Grid Station Dokri on piles

When Grid Station Dokri was converted from 66 kV to 132 kV, the waterlogged ground could not carry conventional footings. The control house and switchyard were designed on special pile foundations, and MRCC drilled and cast the bored piles on site with its own reverse rotary rig. Piling inside a working grid station is work few contractors in the field take on.

Three collapsed 500 kV towers rebuilt on Dadu–Shikarpur

In April 2024 three SJG-type towers, locations 37, 38 and 39, collapsed on the 500 kV Dadu–Shikarpur Circuit-II. MRCC cleared the twisted steel, rebuilt the three towers with cranes, re-hung the insulator strings, restrung the quad-bundle conductors, welded the nuts and bolts and handed the circuit back. NTDC re-energised the line.
